Janice Marie O'Neal Memorial
Janice Marie O’Neal - Born February 8, 1936 in
Howell Michigan
Janice was a born collector. As a child
she picked up and collected small rocks
from the 40 acre farm she was raised on. As she grew up she put them all
away
year after year. Years later she still had them on the farm when
we first met.
When we married and moved to Las Vegas she brought them with her. She
still
has them in milk crates on our front porch.
Her Casino Collecting started one day when she sat down next to me
watching
me play a $1 Slot Machine and she started looking at the tokens coming
out of
the machine. She discovered quite a mix of DIFFERENT tokens coming out
and
immediately decided we were going to collect them. This avid desire
blossomed
into everything we have today.
As her Husband, I consider Janice one of the most caring and considerate
persons in the Hobby of Casino Collecting.
I also believe she was one of the most knowledgeable persons in the
fields of
Chips, Tokens, Silver Strikes, Slot Cards, Playing Cards and Casino
Matches.
She was always willing to share this information without anything in
return.
Her impact on the hobby will be felt for years to come.
I find it hard to put into words my feelings toward her.
She was my life and inspiration and I miss her with all my heart and
hope I can
spend the rest of my life living up to her deeds.
God Bless Her Soul!(Jerry O'Neal -
May 2009) |
